Terms of Use (“Terms”)

Last updated: April 10, 2018

Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before using the Citizens Utility Board (“CUB”) website, cubwi.org (the “Service”).

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms and therefore do not agree to be bound by this agreement, do not access or use the Service.

Information Provided with Payment

If you wish to donate to CUB through the Service, you may be asked to provide personally-identifiable information, including your name, mailing address, and email address. CUB stores this information on a password-protected server and uses the information to communicate with members. For further information on information collection and use, please see CUB’s Privacy Policy.

We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

CUB owns the Service and its original material, including text, photographs, graphics, and video (“Content”). All content is protected under applicable intellectual property laws of the United States.

Third-Party Content and Links to Other Web Sites

Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by CUB. CUB provides third-party content and links for informational purposes and for the convenience of Service users. If you click on a third-party link, you will leave the CUB site. Please review the terms of use and privacy policy of the third-party site for more information on its practices.

CUB has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. CUB does not make any warranties or representations about the content on any third-party websites. Users access linked third-party sites at their own risk. By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge that CUB shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such third-party websites or services.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least seven (7) days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

A donation to Citizens Utility Board of Wisconsin (CUB) is, like all charitable donations, not refundable. CUB may consider (at its discretion) a refund if the donation was made accidentally or in some other extremely unusual circumstance if CUB receives a written request within 48 hours of the donation.

CUB will never issue a refund after the donated funds have been granted to a project.
